Happy Halloween

Kansas City loves their BBQ and their Chiefs. But what happens when we have a Monday night football game on Halloween? The number of trick or treater's is at an all time low. In fact our doorbell only rang 3 times the whole night long.

THANKFULLY we did not give out chocolate or I would eat it all. LUCKILY I bought some nice colorful lollipops that adds some pop in the kitchen.

Picture Catch Up

I am dusting off the cobwebs from my blog. I am back!!! Whew! These past couple months have been busy, busy, busy!! I can't complain, though, because I absolutely love spending time with my girl, even if it is running her all over the city to the next "thing" she has to be at. I am glad she is outgoing in school because I was not. I was shy and it thrills me that she is not afraid to try things and it is excites me even more to see her succeed at them.

Schedule Overload!!

I can't get to my blog as often as I would like because my daughter's school schedule has kicked in.

Days with nothing to do are few and far between. She is trying out for the school play tomorrow and if she makes it we will go into over drive!!

But I am not complaining. This is exactly one of the reasons I wanted to be a Mama. The busier we are the more time I actually get to spend with her. Especially the drives to and from the events she has to be at/come home from. We get a lot of special mother-daughter talking time in and I love every second of it!  I am not saying she is always pleasant because there are days she is less than sweet. But you take the good with the bad.

I don't know if it is the overwhelming schedule or that I am now dancing in my 40's but I have became awful forgetful. My memory was one of my best attributes. I feel like I am loosing it as I am forgetting so many things lately. I have resulted in having to write myself notes like this.

I forgot my cell phone at home a couple days so I have resulted in leaving myself a note each morning. I laugh though, remember how we used to not have cell phones and we functioned just fine? Now if I forget mine I feel "naked".  Oh how the times have changed!

The Help

This weekend I went with some of my girlfriends to see The Help.

I highly, highly recommend this movie!!

Emma Stone is one my favorite actresses and she does not disappoint in this movie.

The offspring of this man, that I grew up with on TV, is in the movie. But you won't like her character at all!!

You will fall in love with these two gals. I hope they win awards for this movie.

And be sure to bring plenty of these

We just had our napkins for our popcorn and didn't have enough to wipe our tears.

Twice Skunked!!

Our dog got skunked AGAIN!!! At least I figured out where the nest is. Calling in a skunk exterminator tomorrow!!! Uuuuuuuughhh!!

When Life Gives You Rain Take Pictures

It has been rainy the past few days so we haven't done much.

I did an intense cleaning - every nook and cranny- of the living room this morning. I am going to try to do the same for the kitchen tomorrow. Kay played make-up artist and I was her model. And we ran a few errands. That is it.

I was bored this evening so I got the camera out and took a few pictures around the house.

Maybe tomorrow it won't be so wet outside.

Two Blessings

I love reading Megan's blog, In This Wonderful Life. Today is a very exciting day for them as they will be welcoming their twins, Knox & Sloane.
